Could you reproduce this error?
Starting at Paro is no problem. I also only use DX9. I will try it with a flight from Kathmandu. However I can remember to have this anomaly at other airports with a complex mesh scenery.
Also I have this issue......seem to be related to wet runway.....deactivating and reactivating the scenery reloads all the objects ..... hope you could solve this error....thanks
That's really unusual. We can't reproduce this neither with wet nor with dry conditions. I doubt it has to do with rain since the complete ground image is missing, even in those areas where we didn't add any rain effects. It seems the terrain failed to fully load making the ground disappearing below the surface. Could you please try to reproduce the error and do the following:
- If you approach Paro and fly over the airport at 12.500ft (official approach procedure), can you see the airport ground or does it look like on those screenshots?
- If the ground is missing please assign a key to "refresh scenery" and press it. Does the ground return?
- If it doesn't, please switch to another weather theme - does this solve the issue? (wouldn't expect to, but better check)
- If the issue cannot be solved this way please disable other addons in the scenery library and set ftx mode to default for testing.
I can confirm, I have this same issue using the same configuration as the original poster, except I also use FTX Vector. I have already added VQPR to the list of AEC exception airports, but the problem still exists. This issue only happens when arriving from another airport. When departing from VQPR all runway and taxiway textures appear as normal.
G'day all from Oz, boleropilot here - I'm the bloke in the red helmet flying the Ant's Airplanes Drifter 0455 - Anthony used 0455 for all the photos needed to develop the Drifter for FSX - did a nice job hey...
I seem to have a problem with the install, nothing to do with the product, more likely just an old fella forgetting how things work
Can someone please let me know what the entry for Paro should look like in the Scenery.cfg file?
Thanks
BP
Did everyone who has the issue buy from simmarket? I'm curious if it's a bad file and needs to be uploaded again.. Tested again, had to refresh scenery for it to show up from Kathmandu..
That's really very unusual. The installer files are the same, no matter where you purchased the addon. Since we can't reproduce it at the moment we have to ask you to provide a bit of additional information:
- If you approach Paro and fly over the airport at 12.500ft (official approach procedure), can you see the airport ground or does it look like on those screenshots?
- If the ground is missing please assign a key to "refresh scenery" and press it. Does the ground return?

- If the issue cannot be solved this way please disable other addons in the scenery library and set ftx mode to default for testing.
It looks like all users having this issue do have ft. products installed, is this correct? Did you test with ftx set to default?

Did you have success installing the addon? Everything should be installed automatically, no need to edit the scenery.cfg. Please see the manual for additional information on this.
