Seychelles freezes at touchdown

I’m loving Seychelles, thank you - but I have a strange freeze of the sim just at touchdown on the westerly runway.
It lasts for about 5 seconds and then unfreezes.
Would anyone have any ideas, please?

Does that happen every time you land there? Even with different aircraft and time/weather scenarios?

Thanks for the reply.
It happens at all times and with all aircraft. Only when abeam taxiway B travelling southeast on 13.
I have re-installed but it remains the same.
Any ideas much appreciated.

We never had any similar report. Does it also happen if you uninstall the scenery and land there with the default scenery?
If something like this happens on touchdown (the moment the aircraft touches the ground) I would first assume some touchdown fx to be the culprit.

I tried that - it doesn’t happen with default.
It also happens when on a slow taxi - but only in the 13 direction.
I’ll have a look at touchdown fx’s.

Is there a certain position where this freeze happens? Depending on your view direction? Cockpit? Spot?

look to HDD Busy led during freeze. Lit constantly?

It must be something to do with my Seychelles X installation, as I said it is fine using default scenery.
I tried installing on another P3D machine and it was fine, but re-installing it back on the original PC the problem is the same....
It’s not the end of the world at all - I can live with it but the inner me wants desperately to fix it!

Hello. it could be a hardware problem. same issue i discover with my old HDD when try to read data from HDD bad blocks. it stuck for some seconds and HDD busy led lit constantly. Then you can check CPU usage via Task manager to ensure there is no 100% CPU usage during freeze.

Do you have other comparable addon sceneries? The file sizes and memory load for Seychelles should not be as heavy as some of our other sceneries (Cape Town or Bremen) but depending on the state of your HDD it might be the reason for those lags.

I have some very demanding scenery add-ons which don’t have a problem so it can’t be that. I have quite a high-end system.
Perhaps it is indeed an HDD issue. My Fly Tampa St Maarten has also done this in the past, at a specific distance in the approach.
I really appreciate your suggestions, though.

Some addons use LODs that in some cases let the Sim load multiple objects/textures at the same time. Those kind of lags were quite common in the old days if that kind of LOD system was used, but we don't use these LODs and never had a similar report with any of our addons.
