FSDG SODE link
FSDG SODE link
Bought your Dakar - Lite scenery at simMarket (order #2630973). Followed your instructions to have FSDG-Sode link.
My path-> ...\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FSDG
Inside this FSDG folder => docs/FSDG/images/scenery/scripts subfolders plus add-on.ocbakup/add-on/add-on.xml.orig/add-on.xml.P4AOBAK/FSDG-Scenery Configurator_v1.1/FSNotify/Uninstall_FSDG-SODE_link
Inside FSDG subfolder => images/scripts subsubfolders
It shall be this?
Tks
PS: tried to attach printscreens but message shows it's too large.

Re: FSDG SODE link
You should select the same install folder with both installations, Dakar and SODElink.
Now, the SODElink files are one 'FSDG' folder 'too deep', so they ended up in an FSDG/FSDG folder if I understood correctly.
Please uninstall the SODElink and install again, into your P3Dv4 addons folder.

I followed instructions but something isn't as it should
In ...\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Addons there are 2 FSDG folders for Cape Town & Dakar and another FSDG which should be FSDG-SODE_link

Re: FSDG SODE link
Actually, that seems to be alright. The folder structure is correct. There should be a Cape Town tab in the config tool, but that's probably missing because you chose a different install location for Cape Town.
The SODElink should work as expected, though.

Re: FSDG SODE link
tks again by answering so soon, which make me happy to have your FSDG products.
I have Cape Twon installed in ...Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FSDG-Cape Town\FSDG-Cape Town\scenery & texture. Two FDSG-Cape Town (one inside the other).
The same applies to Dakar.
It seems to me that there are a lot of FSDG subfolders.
Should I get scenery & texture from FSDG-Cape Town sufolder and place them inside FSDG folder => ...\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FSDG-Cape Town\scenery & texture
Or ...\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FSDG\FSDG-Cape Town\scenery & texture
This way it would be:
...\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FSDG\FSDG-Cape Town\scenery & texture
\FSDG-Dakar\scenery & texture
\FSDG-Scenery Configurato_v1.1

Re: FSDG SODE link
It looks like the structure is ok. To be sure, it should be:
ROOT/FSDG -> this is where the FSDG-Scenery Configurator_v1.1.exe is
ROOT/FSDG-Cape Town/FSDG-Cape Town/scenery
ROOT/FSDG-LITE-Dakar/FSDG-LITE-Dakar/scenery
Then everything should be ok.
ROOT/FSDG -> this is where the FSDG-Scenery Configurator_v1.1.exe is
ROOT/FSDG-Cape Town/FSDG-Cape Town/scenery
ROOT/FSDG-LITE-Dakar/FSDG-LITE-Dakar/scenery
Then everything should be ok.
Re: FSDG SODE link
I simply run installer for both Cape Town & Dakar.
...\FSDG-Cape Town\FSDG-Cape Town\scenery, texture were created by default
Trouble is that I don't understand why there are 2 FSDG-Cape Town. Shouldn't it be just ...Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FSDG-Cape Town\scenery, texture ?
Hope that this is my last question but I think that this issue may happen with others buyers too.

Re: FSDG SODE link
No, the folder structure is just fine. We used those duplicate folders to keep the effects folders and other folders like SimObjects seperataly.
Re: FSDG SODE link
FSDG\Effects shouldn't go to Prepar3D v4\Effects?
Why FSDG-Scenery Configurator_v1.1 show only SODE for all your sceneries and don't allow to explore each of them?

Re: FSDG SODE link
P3Dv4 allows addon scenery files to be kept seperate from P3D default files and folders. That's why they are stored in seperate folders. The add-on.xml makes sure P3Dv4 still finds and uses them.
Dakar has no switchable items. Why Cape Town isn't shown in the config tool, I can't tell. Should be if you installed everything correctly.

Re: FSDG SODE link
Installed Nairobi and then FSDG-Scenery Configurator_v1.1 worked as it should.
Then I re-installed Cape Town & Dakar and now everything works, not just SODE option for all FSDG sceneries.
