FALE Durban problem for P3D v5
FALE Durban problem for P3D v5
I've registered just to post about the problem I was having with this scenery in P3Dv5. I use Aivlasoft's Electronic Flight Bag (no longer on sale) and after it read my scenery database it didn't like the Arrival info for the ILS 06/24.
After tearing my hair out trying to solve the problem I eventually found the problem. In the AFCAD the primary runway is set as 24 with the secondary as 06. It should be the other way around.
It's probable other software isn't bothered about that but EFB is very fussy that the data matches that from Navigraph.
Whether you want to alter the AFCAD is your prerogative. It's an excellent airport and I have 4 others of yours. Please keep developing for P3D.

Re: FALE Durban problem for P3D v5
Helo,
thanks for your feedback. We had plans to update the scenery and fix this bug along with some other minor things, but we wanted to wait until the new apron is finished. Now, after 5 years, we need to admit, we were wrong in hoping they would be able to do that in a timely manner.
To quick fix this now, please download the attached bgl file and put it into the scenery folder. Please remove/disable the AFX_FALE(_v2).bgl file there.

Hi Thorsten. Thanks for acknowledging the problem and providing the fix. It was a difficult one to solve.
It’s a pity you have ceased development for P3D. Not all of us are attracted by the scenery in MSFS. The forced updates are a real put off for me. I value a stable sim above everything else.

We did not cease development for P3D. In fact, we recently released a couple of sceneries for P3Dv4/v5/v6.

Of course, my mistake, sorry. Do you do requests? EGCC Manchester is in need of an update. There’s an expanded T2 which needs adding.horst18519 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 8:39 pmWe did not cease development for P3D. In fact, we recently released a couple of sceneries for P3Dv4/v5/v6.
Also Dublin EIDW has a second northern runway 10L / 28R. MK Studios released it but then abandoned P3D. If you could consider those all P3D users would be very grateful.

Unfortunately, airports that already exist as MSFS (and maybe even XP) versions, don't make sense for a developer these days. The P3D numbers alone just don't justify the work. There's nothing we can do about that.

Understood but it was worth asking.
