HESH - Won't install

I just bought HESH (sharm el shiek) for X-Plane on Steam.
After installing there is no Main scenery folder created in X-plane Custom Scenery, only individual small folders such as docs, airport traffic etc littered throughout my Custom scenery folder in random order. When I load into X-plane it looks like some of the scenery is there mishmashed in with the default stuff.


I've re-installed several times through Steam but to no avail. Because Steam is controlling the installation i'm powerless to try anything. I won't be buying scenery from Steam again.


Anybody have any suggestions? I have SAM plugin installed.

What directory did you point the installer to for installation?

I bought it on Steam which auto installs to x-plane. No option to select a directory.

I have the same Problem using Agadir Airport. In Steam-library it is activated but there are no new folders. I tried to deactivate and reactivate it several times. But nothing new. Please help. Thanks

I've raised a support ticket on Steam. I'll let you know if I get anywhere. I expect they'll just refund me.

It's weird but the download was approx 168mb. My custom scenery folder only contains a few new files which amount to about 10mb. I'm no stranger to installing scenery and if I had the download I could confidently drop it in the right place. That's not an option on Steam though.
I've also searched my entire PC to see if anything has gone into the wrong location but haven't found anything other than the few random scenery files that have been dropped sporadically amongst my airports and orbx folders.

i did the same. tried to find out where the download will be placed. i can find the "Manual_FSDG-Agadir_XP.pdf" only in a new folder named docs. this is the only new file in the custom scenery folder. so xplane cant add new entries in scenery_packs.ini

We're looking into this. Obviously a problem with the STEAM installer that's different from ours.

Steam gave me a refund so I went and bought the scenery from the Org store.

It worked like a charm first time! Very nice scenery it is too! Very impressed.

Just received a steam update. after this update xplane was updated also. and now there is a new folder named "FSDG-Agadir". i think it will work now. i will test it and report. stand-by ;)
