Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
Unable to start a scenario in p3dv4 after installing Reunion, purchased from Aerosoft, v1.1 for p3dv4. I ran installer for scenery, then did sode correctly, then installed fsdg setup tool, p3dv4 when starting a scenario does not load the loading screen the wheel spins and then p3d crashes with a windows error message. Removing the addon.xml file for Reunion fixes it. Loading at any airport it happens, not only starting a scenario at Reunion. Please help. Thanks

Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
Please install Reunion again. Usually that kind of problem vanishes with a new install.
Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
I'll try after my current flight thanks. Another question: I cannot disable the Ai traffic? Only the ground traffic had an option to disable in the config tool.horst18519 wrote:Please install Reunion again. Usually that kind of problem vanishes with a new install.

That is correct. We included AI traffic that no traffic addon features (ultralight aircraft & helicopters). We did not expect anyone want to disable that feature.

I would like to disable the AI traffic could you tell me the bgl files to remove from the scenery folder?horst18519 wrote:That is correct. We included AI traffic that no traffic addon features (ultralight aircraft & helicopters). We did not expect anyone want to disable that feature.
Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
Fixed after a reinstall. But dynamic lights puts my locked 30fps during the day to 6fps at night. Only the dynamic lights box is checked, but it is a big fps killer. Is there nothing I can do about poor performance using dynamic lights? And to disable AI traffic thank you.horst18519 wrote:That is correct. Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
The dynamic lights are known to have a big impact on performance. That is not related to the scenery they're used in, it's how P3D renders dynamic lights generally.
If you want to disable AI traffic please rename/disable/delete the file REU_AI_TRaffic.bgl in the scenery folder. You can also disable the REU_AI_TRaffic_MYT.bgl, if you do not use MyTraffic that file will not have any effect anyway.

Could I also remove the simobjects entry from the addon.xml file?horst18519 wrote:The dynamic lights are known to have a big impact on performance. That is not related to the scenery they're used in, it's how P3D renders dynamic lights generally.

If you do not want to use our AI traffic you can remove that entry as well.
Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
Ok thank you. I have one more question thank you for the support and great airport I love flying to Reunion. One day maybe you can do FMMI airport and even model all of Madagascar like the islands Reunion?horst18519 wrote:If you do not want to use our AI traffic you can remove that entry as well.
My question is Orbx Global, at night can it be possible to use Orbx default night lighting? If I turn off the night lighting in the fsdg setup program, the Orbx lights do not appear. Is that from photo textures and not possible to enable?

Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
That is not possible. The 3D night lights are placed to fit the night lighting of the aerial imagery. ORBX lights match the generic land class textures and would not fit the scenery. Besides, you might be used to those ORBX lights from other areas of the world, but the Reunion 3D night lights look more realistic.
Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
Bad news, the scenery is still crashing my sim again. I deleted everything, installed again, and crash before the loading screen. This is frustrating.horst18519 wrote:That is not possible. Here is before it loads, the loading screen does not appear, just black then the crash message or a ctd.

Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
Maybe a problem with the scenery.cfg. Can you please zip it and post it here?
Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
I sat down tonight and did a lot of testing, if I remove the addon.xml file for fsdg and fsdg-reunion folders p3d v4 does not load.horst18519 wrote:Maybe a problem with the scenery.cfg. Can you please zip it and post it here?
It cannot be an issue on my p3d.

Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
I did not say it's an issue with your P3D, I think it's related to the scenery.cfg. If you attach it I can take a look at it.

Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
No, that probably isn't the source of the problem. At least I can't find any error in that file.
Do you have other addons that are added to P3D with add-on.xml files?
Please attach the add-ons.cfg - you'll find that file where the Prepar3D.cfg is stored (C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4)

Re: Reunion 1.1 for p3dv4 crashes
No problem with this file as well. Are you sure the CTD is realted to our scenery? You have a big number of addons and if I understand correctly you said the scenery worked just fine after a new install?
