SimMarket New Installers Emails

Hello,

I received email notifications of new installers for Ayers Rock, Graz, Heraklion and Thessaloniki. Are these actual new updates? I have all installed in P3Dv4 alreeady, did not see notifications here of anything new.

If they are new, can they be installed over the top of existing installs?

Most of the new versions only have new install routines for P3Dv4 to allow custom install locations. Mauritius, Bangalore, Reunion, Seychelles and Agadir include a couple of new files.
If you want to install your FSDG addons outside the default USER Documents location you should uninstall them and reinstall all FSDG addons using the new installers. It is necessary that all FSDG addons are installed in the same location for the Configurator tool to work.

Is it necessary to uninstall the scenery in case of updating it in the same location or can the update be installed on top of the existing installation?

If it's in the same location and there is no new content in the updated scenery it could be ok to install it over the existing version, but there's always the chance that things go wrong in that case, for example if there are files changed by the Configurator. It's always safer to remove the existing version before installing the new one. It's a few clicks only.

Any chance you can update the Djerba and Sharm El Sheik installers to allow users to select the installation folder?

These are the only two airports of yours in which I can't manually select the install location. I would like to keep all my FSDG scenery in one folder.

You'll be happy to learn that we just updated Sharm El-Sheikh and Djerba, the final remaining sceneries to be updated to the new P3Dv4 install format. And to top off the good news we updated the Djerba scenery to feature an updated ground layout, new jetways and a few more changes.
