Hi,
I just installed the latest version, as I got an email from Simmarket. Because at some distance the 3D lights are still blue/turquoise in the day, I want to disable them.
I run the configurator as Administrator. When I untick 3D light cones, I get the following message:
"Error: access denied! Did you run the application as Administrator? You can find the error code in ......."
Then the configurator freezes and I need to close it using Task manager.
In the log:
System.IO.IOException: Cannot create a file when that file already exists.
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.File.InternalMove(String sourceFileName, String destFileName, Boolean checkHost)
at System.IO.File.Move(String sourceFileName, String destFileName)
at _FSDGScenConfig.Main.Checkbox_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
Is there a fix for this crash?
Regards

Re: Reunion new V Scenery Config crash unticking 3D light co
Please download the latest version of the scenery configurator and try again.

At zoom levels of 1.0 or below there should be no light effects. They can still appear in higher zoom levels at a certain distance, though. We thoroughly tested this and found that the current setting reduces the effect to a minimum.

I just downloaded from your link, reinstalled the scenery configurator, and the problem is the same.
What BGL file should I disable manually to remove those 3D lights?
Indeed the bad light effects is reduced, but still appears. I was in zoom 60%.

Re: Reunion new V Scenery Config crash unticking 3D light co
You probably did not reset settings to default in the Scenery Configurator before uninstalling the old version, so you ended up with a disabled as well as an enabled file for the lights - the configurator in that case cannot switch since both files already exist.
Please remove the file "FMEE_Spots.off" in the FSDG-Reunion/scenery folder and you'll be able to use the Configurator again.

Re: Reunion new V Scenery Config crash unticking 3D light co
Thank you.
Indeed I had not reset settings to default in the Scenery Configurator before uninstalling the old version, because I thought the uninstaller would remove all files.
I removed "FMEE_Spots.off" in the FSDG-Reunion/scenery folder and the Configurator is fine again.

Just to checked, I uninstalled again Reunion, and in Scenery folder, "FMEE_Spots.off" remained.
So, of course, after reinstall there is "FMEE_Spots.off" and "FMEE_Spots.BGL", which confuses the configurator.
All OK now.
