Hi,
I have a question about this configurator option.
Are textures for every month available?
As far as I know the FS9, FSX and probably P3D have only 4 seasons inside and and the most of the world only 3 actually. That counts for the ground textures, I am not sure, dont know if this has to do with anything else or a developer can apply monthly textures, for buildings or whatever for example.
Can someone explain further, thanks.

FSX/P3D seasons are, like in real life, just four, so we will never have any more than 4 different texture packs.
But different regions of the world may be in a different season, even for the same month, depending on geography. So we got all 12 months there and the user picks the right month, everything else is calculated from the tool.

Re: FSDG - Scenery Configurator - Season Switch
Just to make sure people don't get confused on this: FSX and P3D can handle different seasonal variations for all 12 months, but like you said most areas in the world have 4 or less seasons or - to be more precise - five: spring, summer, fall, winter, hard winter. Since most sceneries do not provide a custom seasonal definitions file for the scenery area the default seasons definition is used. This often leads to problems between automatically changing textures and the surrounding landclass scenery which switches seasonal textures following the seasons definition.
To avoid any conflict we decided to give you the option to select the month you will be flying in and all our textures (3D models and terrain) are adjusted for that month.
