VRMM doesn't load in P3Dv4 - hangs at 37%

I have installed Male and the Maldives packages using the installer, and reinstalled again today. I have ORBX Vector installed, so I disabled that file for VRMM, just in case. It had no effect.

Also removed VRMM from traffic program (My Traffic).

I also installed the configurator tool, version 1.1 (downloaded it just today) and I noticed that it does not detect either Male VRMM or the Maldives package.

I have no similar issues with other FSDG, tested Sylt again today, and it was fine.

I really cannot determine what is going on here. Any pointers or ideas?

We do not use the scenery configurator for our latest addons, as we don't include optional content anymore.

Does P3D hang or crash at 37%? Always or only if you load a flight at VRMM?

P3D hangs, it does not crash, when I try to start a flight at VRMM. I am testing now with only Maldives installed, without VRMM.

OK, so some news here. VRMM loads, after some time, but only without Male Atoll installed.

I was not able to load Male Atoll even without VRMM - it hangs at 36%. So at least we know where the problem is, or at least where to look.

Can you please check your resource monitor when P3D loads - do you run into shortages? (RAM, CPU,...)

CPU goes up to 90-95% but doesn't quite max out.

GPU is not shown in this image, but I observed that it is very, very low, but eventually it increases to about 27%.

Interestingly, I have tested other sceneries that show higher CPU usage but they still load OK.

This is with both Male VRMM airport and with Male Atolls - both sceneries.

OK, I went and watched a movie and let it load. It did finally load. It took almost an hour, but it loaded.

Any bad fps or other issues once it's loaded?

There is a bit of lag, yes - not super smooth fps. I just did a quick tour around in a helicopter. I'd like to make some seaplane flights to better test it out.

But please keep in mind this is a fresh install of P3D v4 so I have not spent much time making adjustments to settings.
