Landmarks of Germany compatibility
If you want to make sure our Landmarks of Germany scenery is compatible with your other addons, please thoroughly read this post.
You might use other sceneries that include similar objects to our landmarks, like an airport addon or another landmarks addon that includes castles or antennas.
There is no other addon delivering all the different landmarks we included in our Landmarks of Germany series. There are landmark packs available that include a collection of castles, or another one including mostly chimneys or antennas. Since they might cover a bigger area than our Landmarks of Germany packs (which usually cover a single federal state of Germany), it can be useful to combine both addons.
We carefully placed exclude calls around our Landmarks of Germany objects, so if you make sure the scenery load order is correct, you should be able to use those addons in combination with our Landmarks series.
(Please refer to this post to learn more about the scenery load order. Make sure you sort our Landmarks addon below any other landmarks and/or regional scenery!)
Other addons might include wrong-placed objects, which are not 'caught' by our excludes. Obviously, we cannot exclude those. In some cases, they also exclude stuff they shouldn't (like MSFS photorealistic 3D cities). We cannot exclude their excludes. Please refer to their technical support or read below.

Re: Landmarks of Germany compatibility
Compatibility with the 'We Love VFR' series:
We know many of you like the global We Love VFR series. It's indeed a nice (and free) addon that adds landmarks all over the globe. As you can imagine, these objects are placed automatically (using OSM data), so there's a lot of errors and unrealistic objects in that scenery.
We still gave it our best to make our Landmarks of Germany series work with those packs.
Here's some tips what you should keep in mind:

Here's some tips what you should keep in mind:
- Make sure you use the latest versions of our Landmarks of Germany addons.
- In the MSFS General Options settings, go to the Experimantal menu and enable the Package Reorder Tool window.
Make sure that our Landmarks of Germany entries are below any other landmarks or regional sceneries. You can close that window afterwards.
- For best possible results, we suggest to disable/delete the different Exclude bgl files inside the We Love VFR Region 1 scenery folders.
- Our Landmarks of Germany series does not cover areas that are included as photorealistic in MSFS (like Mannheim or Munich) or objects that are already part of the MSFS D-A-CH content (like several Frankfurt landmarks). Those might be missing if We Love VFR includes exclude calls for them. We cannot influence that.
- We Love VFR likes to exclude photorealistic scenery around its objects, most notably in industrial areas like Mannheim, while our Landmarks of Germany series integrates our objects into these photorealistic sceneries. We suggest to disable the We Love VFR exclude bgl files. That way these areas look the way they're supposed to.
- We Love VFR includes a lot of misplaced and erratic objects, like antennas instead of communication towers, or already torn down cooling towers, or big antenna objects where the OSM data only pointed out there's some antenna mounted to an existing tower. We can't blame We Love VFR for that, as the Earth is just too big to check every single object. We did check every of our Landmarks of Germany object, but we have no control over wrong-placed We Love VFR objects. You will have to live with those.

If you want to use FSDG's "Landmarks of Germany" and don't want to miss the powerlines from MAMU's "Powerlines and Solar Farms", here's a little tutorial for you:
1st step:
Search in the "Community Folder" for the FSDG folder:
BaWü = fsdg-glx_bw
Hesse = fsdg-glx_he
Thuringia = fsdg-glx_th
>>In the following, I take the example BaWü. But it works just as well with the other federal states.
2nd step:
Go to the appropriate scenery folder:
\Community\fsdg-glx_bw\scenery\FSDG-GLX_BW
3rd step:
Rename or delete the following files:
- glx_powerpoles_minor_bw_v1.bgl
- glx_powertowers_bw_110_v1.bgl
- glx_powertowers_bw_220_v1.bgl
- glx_powertowers_bw_380_v1.bgl
- glx_powertowers_bw_sm_v1.bgl - #Here you may have to replace bw by he or th or the matching federal state.
After that the double masts are gone and you have only your MAMU masts incl. the lines.
Have fun with it!

Re: Landmarks of Germany compatibility
Hello,
Since we got a City Update for South western Germany, there is now a bug with the TV tower in Stuttgart : it appears on top of the photogrammetric one from the update. From a distance, it even looks floating in the air.
Will you adress that ? Flying around Stuttgart feels really weird with this bug.
Thank you for your work.

Re: Landmarks of Germany compatibility
How is it with compatibilities after the last World Update?

Re: Landmarks of Germany compatibility
There are no incompatibilities. Only in recently added orthometry areas (a few towns in Baden-Wuerttemberg), there are still a few erratic objects, but we'll soon fix those.

Re: Landmarks of Germany compatibility
Ok, are there many 'overlapping' objects? If so, will it be possible to let the World Update objects be shown if they are of higher quality?

Re: Landmarks of Germany compatibility
There are very few 'overlapping' objects. In these cases, our landmarks pack excludes the World Update object and replaces it, of course with a more realistic model, as MSFS default models always look a bit too generic.

Re: Landmarks of Germany compatibility
Some of the POI objects developed for Microsoft, by some of their contractors are of very, very high quality.

I think for now there is easy solution to deactivate latest South update, it is great that MSFS gives such flexibility.

Re: Landmarks of Germany compatibility
Some of POI scenes in the World Updates have modelling and texture work of a much higher and detailed quality than in the FSDG packages, so of course I would like to have the one with the best quality in the sim. I hope you'll be able to do an honest review of the overlapping assets, and give us the best objects/scenes to the render engine
