Southern Caribbean Airports

Does FSDG have any plans to develop more airports of the Southern Caribbean (Lesser Antilles)?

1. Piarco Intl, Trinidad TTPP
2. Maurice Bishop Intl, Grenada TGPY
3. Grantley Adams Intl, Barbados TBPB

These airports are sadly missing in this region.

Re: New database for old purchases

I accessed the old account and made the password change, it was and easy process.

I then accessed the new website https://fsdg-online.com/ and tried to create a new account, but my country is not available for selection.

What now?

Thanks

Re: St. Vincent and ORBX FTX (in)compatibility

Sorry for the delay, it's the holiday season. The airport altitude should be 144ft in the 737. Judging from your last screenshot there is an even bigger difference around the apron though. There must be some interfering file that causes this. Can you please disable all other add-ons in the scenery ...

Re: St. Vincent and ORBX FTX (in)compatibility

Can you please post a screenshot with your aircraft positioned on the runway? Please also report (or screenshoot) the exact altitude (MSL) on the runway as well as at sea level (just slew to the nearby ocean). As requested Thorsten. The aircraft is a Boeing B738, the exact altitude on the altimeter...

horst18519 wrote:That is more or less correct. We have quite a lot of ftx users who can use the scenery without any problem though, so both addons are compatible. There seems to be a problem in your case though. Did you re-install FSDG-St Vincent after installing ftx?
I sure did, but no fix.

Re: Released: St Vincent V1.1

Usually this can be fixed with the ORBX airport elevation tool. You might want to contact the ORBX support on this issue. If it's not fixable with that tool there might be another ALT file from another (previous?) addon interfering. This is a new airport and not listed in P3D as a stock airport, an...

Re: St. Vincent and ORBX FTX (in)compatibility

You might need to contact the ORBX support on this if the issue occured after installing an ftx addon. They told me to contact the developer of the scenery for help, as their vector software will not interfere with an airport unless it recognizes their is an elevation issue with it and then apply t...

St. Vincent and ORBX FTX (in)compatibility

I am using ORBX FTX products - Global Base, Vector, SA, NA, etc., and TVSA St. Vincent seems to have an elevation problem with FTX. I used their Vector Airport Altitude Config tool and it did not fix anything. I also use FSDG St. Lucia and that has no problem. Not sure what next to do, as the scener...

horst18519 wrote:Sorry, my bad. For St Vincent we decided to not use the additional layer in P3Dv4 (unlike TLPL for example) since the results were better without it. If you prefer a brighter apron at night with or without dynamic lights you can manually activate it but I'd suggest not to.
Understood.

Re: Pilots of the Caribbean - Bundle

Correct. Both files are switched on/off depending on if you enable dynamic lights in the config tool. Thanks Thorsten. Just as a note, I did deselect "Dynamic Lighting" in the configuration software and found that file was selected "off" when it should have been "on". I tried the config again and i...

Re: Pilots of the Caribbean - Bundle

Please do not make manual changes in the scenery folder, the scenery configurator does that for you. ;-) The file you mentioned illuminates the ground in P3Dv4 when dynamic lights are disabled. If you manually activate both files you'll a) make the scenery configurator crash next time you want to c...

Re: Pilots of the Caribbean - Bundle

I found this file "TVSA_LL_30_tweaked.bgl" switched OFF, ".off" at the end. Should this be left with the ".off" at the end. I removed it without any faults, is that OK? :(

Re: Pilots of the Caribbean?

Hello Thorsten, I just installed St.Lucia from the POC bundle and think FSDG did a wonderful job with the airport addon. However, I must ask why is their no ATIS 126.15?

Thanks,
