Hello,
i just bought and installed FACT.
Great there is an SA airport finally for P3Dv4
,
However, performance-wise it is not ideal. During night FPS drop quite low (and it is not very complicated airport comparing to some heavy european airports like EGLL, EHAM or EDDF...). So I switched off DL (pitty…) but no big improvement….
Difference between day and night is cca 10 FPS... I do not thing it is necessary (complexity, quality e.t.c)
Is there any plan to improve or optimize ?
Many thanks for any reaction..
JM

We have not had any reports of bad fps. Of course it's possible you'll have lower fps at night using dynamic lights but disabling one or more dynamic lights options in the scenery configurator should certainly change this.

Hello, many thanks for reaction.
Yes I disabled all DL in configurator. performance is better, however still visibly (cca 10FPS) worse at niht comparing to day..
As it is not so complex scenery, I would not expect that….

Neither would I. There's no reason (apart from DLs) why performance should be worse at night - except if there's another addon interfering. Can you please disable our FACT scenery and compare day/night? Is there a similar difference?

Hi, I tried with standard p3d CPT, no problem with FPS day or night - all views and sides...

Activated back FSDG CPT (disabled DL) and FPS during night is lower by cca 10FPS (standing at A5 gate view to left towards the majority of airport scenery ie. cca 200 degrees southwest). Same view to other side - right -no limitation.

Does that fps drop remain or is it ok after a couple of seconds or if you move to another position?

Hi, thanks
No in certain view direction it remains....
if I turn the view somewhere else it goes to normal FPSs...once I return it is again lower....(but only with night textures).
So it looks there are some textures which (once in view and at night) makes FPS lower (through graphic card.... I have NVIDIA1080Ti and once FPS goes down I can see that usage is 100%.., so it must be something related to GPU dedication at night textures...)

Many thanks !

We'll be looking into this. There's nothing out of the ordinary when it come to night textures so I don't think it's related to that.
