Graz: Alternative AFD file (for GSX-users and others)

We received several requests to change the AFD files for Graz since some 3rd-party addons seem to have problems with it (GSX and others).
If you want you can download the attached file to change this.

1. Download and extract the attached file; copy "AFX_LOWG_Full.bgl" into the FSDG-Graz/scenery folder
2. Remove/backup "AFX_LOWG.bgl", "AFX_LOG1.bgl" and "AFX_LOG2.bgl" so they don't interfere with the new file

The new "full" file includes all 3 runways, all usable apron parkings and all 4 helipads. The previous orphan parkings (24A, 24B, 27,...) have been removed to avoid issues with other addons.

Please note that our Graz AI traffic (General Aviation) will not work anymore since it depends on the "dummy-Airports" LOG1 and LOG2.

Hi Thorsten,

I just purchased Graz and found the following.

As an alternative for GSX users FSDT do have a way of dealing with this situation.

In the 'yourname'\appdata\roaming\virtuali\CouatlAddons.ini file you need to add the line
disable_on_airports = LOG1 LOG2
to the [gsx] section.
If the disable_on_airports = xxxx line is already there for another airport then just edit it to disable_on_airports = xxxx LOG1 LOG2
There is a section in the GSX manual about this.

(For those who have tried, for some reason, using the alternative airport_visibility LOG1 = 0 line doesn't seem to work).

Basically disable_on_airports = LOG1 LOG2 tells GSX to ignore LOG1 and LOG 2.

Hope this helps folks to have the best of both worlds!

All the best,

John

Thanks John. That is indeed the more elegant way. We were asked to provide a single file though so you can decide if you want to use either way to solve that problem.

Hi Thorsten,

Your welcome.
Must be a nightmare keeping compatible with everything that's out there!

Love your sceneries, keep up the good work.

All the best,

John
