Another Nuuk elevation question.

Post by olderndirt » Sat Sep 26, 2015 9:33 pm

My installation appeared to be fine 'til the Orbx LC North America/Canada was added. Now large portions of the airport surface are at an incorrect elevation. Looking at my download, I find three files - FSDG Greenland Nuuk V1.0 FSX P3D.exe/ readme.txt/FSDG folder which breaks down to 'scenery' (16 RS02.bgl files) - should these be somewhere else? All I find in 'scenery/world/scenery' is AFX_BGGH_ ALT.bgl 416 bytes modified 1/22/15 8:01 am. Besides FSX/acc I have FTX Global/Vector/LC EU/NACan.

If you installed Nuuk following the instructions those seperate downloaded files should automatically have been installed correctly, so no worries about that.
The one ALT file for BGGH seems to be correct as well, but please double check if there's any additional file that might conflict in that folder. Those files always use the ICAO code for identification, so should be easy to check.

If you sort Nuuk on top of your scenery library list the airport should be displayed correctly. If not please try to post a screenshot.
Do you use any kind of mesh addon?

All the way to the top - simple fix and thanks a lot. Still curious about that FSDG folder with the .exe and readme. Sixteen files apparently doing nothing.

Reason for that is that packing all files into one huge exe could have caused download problems, so we decided to split the download. On installation the setup copies those files into the Nuuk scenery folder. You can delete them (the downloaded files) after successful installation.

Hey everyone,

i have the same problem. Parts of the airport are below the surface.
The scenery is at spot 1 in the library, and installed according instructions.

The only BGGH bgl i could find in the world scenery is called AFX_BGGH_ALT.bgl

Is there any solution??

Thanks in advance

Ok, looks like we're using 2 threads to discuss this. Please select one to continue. ;-)
If there's actually only this one ALT file (that is from us, so that's ok), then please check your scenery and texture settings to make sure they're as high as possible.

Difficult to judge from that screenshot, but it looks like none of the airport ground is visible. Did you re-install the scenery to make sure everthing was installed correctly?
Please also make sure you set the graphics settings to (at least) the recommended settings in the manual and disable the DX10 preview mode.
