Casablanca, Marrakesh, Agadir

Post by afraj » Sat Mar 23, 2013 6:13 am

We are really missing these products. I love to fly into Moroccan cities, but nothing is available out there. Please let me know that if it is a matter of access. I can get you access to take photos. I have a lot of connection in Morocco.

Thanks

Moroccan airports are interesting indeed. Like you said however, getting access is almost impossible without getting into trouble :)

If you have access for material there, we would really be interested in hearing from you

:D November - 7 - 2015

Excellent Idea, but, I really think the poster means - ( Marrakech Airport - GMMX).

After doing some research on it, what really caught my eye was the "Terminal" and its Unique "1960's Style Architecture", which I really like compared to todays rather bland boring drab look of Design !

Marrakech Airport , looks like it had Style & Class, just lookin' at it makes ya want to go in a check it out and tour the place.

Its like I can almost "Vision", Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. Marylin Monroe, Bob Hope, James Dean & Elvis come walkin thru the place :D :hihi:

Frankly, I like the older Vintage Style Architecture of the 1950's & 1960's and some 1970's era structures, they just seem more stylish & classy.

Since I like to Fly mostly Vintage Propliners & Vintage 1950's & 1960's Jetliners anyway of decent quality, I try to only find high quality Add On Airports that have that Unique stylish Design & Class for my FSX Gold / Acceleration.

So, I'm hopeing in 2016 that one of the Higher Quality Experienced Airport Scenery Designers with Skill, would like to develop the
" Marrakech Airport - GMMX" project, hopefully !

Which ever one of you High Quality Airport Designers decides to take this on for FSX - Thank You in Advance !

I know it takes a lotta hard work, hours, frustration and Skill, for which I don't have, wish I did tho ~ !!!

and a ton of Paitence !!

Vintage Aircraft I like to Fly :

Vickers VC-10

Dehavilland Comet Jetliner / payware

Sud Caravelle SE-210 Jetliner / 1950's/ AFG Group / Historic Jetliners Group

Boeing 747-100-200 models / Just Flight

Lockheed Constellations / FSDEZIGNS / Freeware / found on Simviation web site package

and Just Flights payware Constellations

A2A Simulations Boeing 377 Propliner

Lockheed Electra L-188 by KBT Team / Freeware

Douglas DC-6 from Just Flight

Captain Sims Boeing 707's & 727's & 737 models

HJG Convair 880 & 990 models

Lockheed L-1011's from Just Flight & Cap Sim

Airport Add On's I've got to date : 475 some Payware & Freeware
Aircraft : 4,875 installed, some sitting in a Hanger off to the side.

Thanks to ALL the Airport & Scenery Tech Guru's who've made it possible !

Hi,

first posting here ;-)

I already own a few FSDG sceneries and would like to add Agadir. However, as a pure GA flyer, I am afraid I will soon get tired flying from Agadir to ... just Agadir.

I made a search for nearby Payware or good Freeware airports to be within reach for a C172 within an hour maximum, but failed. Marrakech was already mentioned, but there doesn't seem to be anything available.

Anything in the works by FSDG, or someone else? Does someone know sceneries already available? I am running Prepar3d4.

Thanks for any hint, Michael

The Canaries are less than 500km away, Casablanca is 400km, Gibraltar 750km and FSDG-Djerba 2.000km. After you read Saint Exupery you'll love a long flight across the desert. ;-)
I would suggest to at least use a turbo or twin prop for those trips, though. As you'll see there is f light school at Agadir airport, but they mainly do aerodrome circling I guess.

Thanks, Casablanca would be a perfect fit, but I didn't find scenery for it either. There seem to have been P3D-compatible sceneries available for Marrakesh and Beni Menal from the TH3 project (according to Robert-Jan Oosterloo's list), but the links are dead

I own (and like) Djerba, but that's too far away for a flight after work from Agadir. I might think about using a more powerful machine, though...

Kind regards, Michael

You're right. Casablanca (Aerosoft) was for FS9 only and will most probably not be updated.
